Don’t Feed Our Bears K–3 Lesson Plan

Description

To go along with the In The Meadow CD/book set, Little Bear Books has created an interactive Don’t Feed Our Bears K–3 lesson plan. This bear lesson plan teaches students what wild animals should and shouldn’t eat, a great nature lesson plan for any student interested in wildlife! Grade level–specific activities, aligned with content standards, teach an important environmental lesson: keep wildlife wild! Extension activities can be adapted for any grade level.

Grade Level: First Grade

Objectives:

• Students will read and sing along to the book/CD “In The Meadow (Don’t Feed Our Bears)”

• Students will identify foods that are appropriate and inappropriate for bears and other wild animals to eat

• Students will express ways in which humans can help keep wildlife wild
