On February 2nd,  in  Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania,  the famous weather-forecasting groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, came out of his burrow on Gobbler’s Knob. Thousands of faithful followers were there to watch as he was awakened from his winter nap. He looked around, saw his shadowand went back to bed. According to legend, this means there will be another six weeks of winter.

Here in Tahoe, it is raining at lake level. Rain is not exactly  what we were hoping for after a long, dry winter, but we’ll what we can get.
